What We Do
We provide estate planning and assists personal representatives (executors, administrators, trustees) with uncontested probate matters throughout South/Central Mississippi and South Alabama. Our goal is to provide quality, focused representation in the area of probate and estate planning.
Who We Serve
We represent clients in uncontested probate matters and provide estate planning advice to clients throughout South/Central Mississippi and South Alabama. Our clients come from all walks of life, with estates ranging from very modest to extremely wealthy. While many of our clients are local, a significant number of our clients do not reside in Mississippi or Alabama.
Our Core Values
Our three core values are (1) open communication between attorney and client, (2) a transaction-based value pricing model that allows clients to get an up-front estimate of their cost, and (3) a focused practice that allows our attorneys to maintain a high level of competency in our practice area. We believe that these core values set us apart and contribute to overall client satisfaction.
Our Management
Our managing attorney, Jeramie J. Fortenberry, holds a Master of Laws Degree in Taxation (LL.M.) from New York University and is admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court. He has been published in the Mississippi Business Journal and by the Mississippi Bar Association and American Bar Association, has served in various capacities with the Real Property, Trust, and Estate Law Division of the American Bar Association, and has served as an instructor in Continuing Legal Education Seminars and at the undergraduate level. In 2009, he was appointed by Mississippi Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann to serve on the Trust Laws Study Group of the 2009 Business Reform Study Group, where he served on a committee to study Asset Protection Trusts and author proposed legislation for a domestic asset protection trust statute (Mississippi Qualified Disposition Act).
